Sisterhood
You were never meant to mother alone.
For most of human history, women raised families surrounded by other women. Grandmothers, sisters, aunts, neighbours. Meals cooked in company. Babies passed between arms. Advice given at the water’s edge, not in a search bar at 2am.
Modern motherhood asked women to do all of that alone, indoors, and quietly. It is not that you are failing. It is that you were handed a job designed for a village and told to carry it by yourself.
Maternal Underground exists to rebuild that village — in living rooms, on trails, around tables, and beside fires.

03Northern Arizona Retreats
Quarterly weekend retreats in the mountains and forests of Northern Arizona. Yoga, hiking, cooking, bonfires, women's circles, rest — and absolutely no pressure to participate in any of it.

The long dream
Someday, Maternal Underground will have a home.
Cabins under the pines. A central lodge with a long table. A creek you can hear from bed. Trails, fire pits, gardens, and women moving between them at their own pace.
We are working toward a permanent sanctuary in Northern Arizona, built specifically for mothers. Nothing to fund yet, nothing to sign — just the dream this community is walking toward together.
